Glacier Park Lodge

Positive: The staff was very courteous. Negative: There was not extra toilet paper in the bathroom.

Had one night in this hotel while visiting Glacier Park. It's another expensive hotel like all the ones around the park but you have to be prepared to pay these prices if you stay in the area. For both check in and check out we found the experience not to the standard you would expect for the price. Staff were on the phone or just rushed away when they saw you and said they were busy. Not the best really. The room itself as many people have said previously was very very dated. The bathroom was tiny and the shower so small it was hard to turn around or wash properly. There was no aircon, TV or kettle /tea/coffee although we brought our own for the latter. However we did have a comfortable nights sleep in the two large double beds . ZERO STARS An absolute dump. An awful lot of money for not much. While an interesting property with great public spaces, I've stayed at Super8's that were three times as nice for 1/3 the price. It's about 1960 in the rooms. No TV, fridge, microwave, or coffee maker in rooms today reeks of cheap. But hey come to our coffee stand with $6 lattes and restaurant with $22 breakfast buffet. The bed at least is comfy and the pillows seem new. But you can't eat or sleep atmosphere and they are milking this place for all they can, and doing all they can to steer guests to their expensive food and beverages. The building is suffering from not-so-benign neglect, has no security, and entry doors flap in the breeze. Was a bag of dirty laundry leaning on an electric heater, fire hazard much? Half expecte

We stayed at GPL last week and had an amazing time. The lodge is beautiful and walking distance to the train station. All the staff were helpful and friendly, food was great. The gardens were beautiful, and of course the setting is perfect. The room and the bed were comfortable, the only issue we had was with the size of the bathroom (not a lot of room), but we expect this with an older lodge. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

This place is fantastic! Not only historical and beautiful, the accommodations were more than fine! The bed very comfortable, the bathroom (though small) was more than enough with a great hot water pressure in the shower. No elevator but plenty of folks to help you with luggage or whatever you need. Food was very good. Very clean! Enjoy the grounds, the convenience to Glacier National Park, highly recommend!
