Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark

This is our second time staying here. The first time we stayed in a timeshare apartment in a sampler package. It was a Beautiful apartment! This time we stayed in a 2 queen bed room, it had a small kitchen witch is very convenient. I see a lot of people talking about cockroachs but I haven't seen any!( My only complaint is that you CAN'T GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE AT THE FRONT DESK UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE A NEW RESERVATION!! THIS IS EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE!!) On another note Both times the rooms were VERY clean!! The staff is always so nice. The room rates $$ are very affordable especially the off season rates $! Positive: The hotel was in a great area by the ocean. Negative: Roaches in room that we had to kill. Tower 2 looked old and dirty. including the indoor and outdoor pool. I was scared to sleep.

The Crown Reef hotel is in a wonderful location. Our children ages 2 and 4 love the waterpark, the many pools and the hot tubs. Each morning we enjoyed the breakfast at the Loco gecko. Our service was spectacular there thanks to Sophia, the waitress. She was kind and helpful. We will definitely be booking again.

My 5 year old son and I visit here and Dunes Village a lot especially during the winter season because he loves the water and the indoor play area. We stayed 02/14-02/16 this time. Everything was pretty much okay however, I was very disappointed this time around only because of the inside jacuzzis. They were warm/cool instead of the warm/hot that we were familiar with. I didn’t get to enjoy the jacuzzis at all and that was something I was looking forward to on this stay. Luckily my son still enjoyed himself with the inside pool. Hopefully the next time it’ll be better. I noticed I weren’t the only one who was concerned and disappointed as well. Many parents opted out of the jacuzzi because it simply was not warm enough. Checked in after 6. Bathroom was not cleaned!! Tried calling front, which is across the street, no answer. I had cleaning supplies in my trunk, so I just cleaned the bathroom myself. I wanted to relax, so I went to their bar. I waited 35 minutes for one drink. Next day, I went back 3 different times. Same thing. So I left the resort and went to the bar at another hotel 🙄 They had one person taking orders, waiting tables and making drinks!!
