Customer Reviews
It's a very cute campground with great service. The tent sights are very nice. Service was excellent! My only complaints are the constant trains (not their fault) and the bar that's very close (very loud). If it wasn't for the trains and bar, location would get more stars. They had fun games we could play with our 5yr old, very patriot (huge bonus).
Jamie, the office manager, was so helpful to us! Campground was fine for 2 nights and loved the trees. Laundry was a bit strange but worked fine. Overall, the welcoming staff make it worth it.
This KOA isn’t bad, and better than a lot of its counterparts due to the trees. It has lots of pull through sites, though pulling out might be a little tight in some spots. The campground has lots of shade. This is good and bad, as the grass is sparse as a result. The bathroom was up to date and clean. There was some noise from road traffic, but it was tolerable. Don’t expect to sleep in, as there are early morning trains blaring their horns. I took off an extra star due to the offensive “Karen” sign they have posted at the entrance. While I’m sure the owners think it’s funny, they should realize that this is someone’s name they are smearing.
Very nice place to be a KOA Journey. All pull through spaces were shady and neatly kept. Office offered the essentials and we had full hookups in our site. Grounds had beautiful landscaping and, although the pool had recently closed for the season, it was clean and nice. Restrooms and showers were adequate. (That's the best I'll say, becUse nothing is like home.) Although there were a lot of dogs here, there was no barking and no doggie messes.
We stayed here for the Purdue Family Weekend in West Lafayette. It was a quick, easy drive to the college to visit. It’s a quiet campground, pull through sites are easy and large. Friendly staff and well kept public restrooms and pool area. There are trains that go by regularly at night. If you’re a light sleeper, beware. This was a great alternative to staying in West Lafayette and paying the family weekend hotel prices.
