Craggy Wash BLM Land Camping

Lots of opportunities for hiking and climbing the hills. Beautiful vista's, sunsets and Calafornia mountains just across the Colorado river. Beautiful star-filled sky's at night. Friendly people. General aviation airport next to the campground entrance where you will sometimes see F-35, Osprey, Helicopters and ultralights. Hot air balloons can frequently be seen. But none of the noise seems to penetrate back to the camping River. Walmart and McDonald's 1 mile from campground entrance. Lots & lots of restaurants & shoping in town (Lake Havasu City). Nearby access to so much scenery, hiking andvicinity. campgrounds in the vacinity. I've traveled and camped all over AZ. Craggy Wash and LHC is my favorite place to base a camper and explore AZ, CA & NV during the day.

Love the convenient location making supply runs into town super easy. Big rigs have limited areas to find spots. Great camping for smaller outfits. I was passing through, but stayed for the fantastic weather.👍✌️

This place has progressively turned into a homeless camp. Absolutely no BLM presence whatsoever. I have come and gone for the last 3 months, every time I come back the same people are in the same spot. They never leave, some look like they have been there for months and months. I'd suggest going to standard wash or the state trust land past there. I get why the locals drive their utvs thru at mock speed, it's a protest against the trash and disrespect for the land.

Easy to get to the 2.5 mile maker in a normal vehicle. Beyond that is very soft sand. Pretty dark at night, even being so close to the city. Yes, there is some trash but nothing really gross. Lots of areas to hike, plenty of wildlife, and an easy drive to town.

Nice BLM camping area just outside Lake Havasu City. Just a couple minutes from Walmart and gas stations. Super colorful sunsets! It is generally quiet, but there are the occasional planes flying by as it is located next to a runway.
