Courtyard by Marriott Texarkana

Positive: The beauty of the entire place! The lobby, the restaurant area, the room were all incredibly gorgeous! Negative: There was not a free breakfast option. Although, as I was checking in, and was told this, the hotel clerk could see my disappointment. She was kind enough to hand me a breakfast voucher.

Normal Marriot hotel layout (no free breakfast) and staff are super nice and helpful. The biggest turnoff is the smoke smell; even after changing rooms and floors. The hallway smelled so bad, I blocked the door with a towel. Also, the room isn't clean. Floors are stained. Bathroom mopped with very dirty water. Just overall, the experience says stay elsewhere.

We booked a last-minute room solely based on using point and the reviews of other hotels in the area. Texarkana hotels are mainly on a long stretch of interstate highway and are well-worn. This one is no different, but in a decent area and seemed safe. No issues parking and check-in was simple via the app. ||We arrived 2am and went right to the room. It was clean-ish. Beds were standard. ||Important note: there is not a free breakfast at this hotel. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance and Starbucks within a few minutes’ drive. ||I would stay again if needed for a quick overnight stay. However, my wife would not. So, take that for what it’s worth.

The receptionist was first rate and took care of us straight away. We checked in immediately and ordered the famous turkey avocado blt sandwich with award winning frys, that the courtyard is famous for. And it was delicious with the perfect hostess offering all kinds of fixings along with meal. Will tell everyone how friendly everyone was. Thanks for a great experience.

My fiancé and I were traveling back from visiting his family in Texas, but after a long day we decided we needed to find a place to stay and start fresh in the morning. After looking through reviews of hotels in Texarkana, I was nervous to stay anywhere, but found great recent reviews here. I'm glad we chose this one. It's clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are friendly and we felt like we were in a safe area. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean and safe stay.
