Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Vista Centre

I wish I knew the name of the lady that checked me in, because her amazing level of hospitality, especially as a Bonvoy Platinum, made this stay. Room was perfect, property is well maintained. Was only there for one night, but my teenager said “wow this is like a resort” so I wish were stayed longer. I wonder if most of these low star reviews are for the Courtyard down the road on Vineland Ave…just like the Uber driver that rudely interrupted my check-in, that went to the wrong location…

We got upgraded to a suite unit, very spacious with microwave and fridge inside room. They recently renovated the hotel so the conceriage area looks nice. They charge extra $10/day hotel fee but gave us a $5 voucher which we can use to make purchases daily at hotel. Has free wifi and free shuttle to some parks. Just used to buy coffee. Close to Disney springs and Vineland outlet. The bathroom water pressure is good , the water is hot.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. There was only one person checking people in when we arrived, and he had a huge line of people waiting. He was so happy and nice regardless of the long line. He was thankful for my platinum status. He upgraded us to a suite, and explained the breakfast option. Everyone we interacted with staff wise at this hotel was nice. Breakfast buffet was great on weekends, and I highly recommend it. The Mickey Mouse pancakes are a cute touch. Great options of eggs, breakfast meats, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, breads, and a different warm option daily. Pancakes one day and French toast the other. The room was beautiful and clean. Courtyard Marriott at Lake Buena Vista Vista Centre: We checked in and checked right back out. We checked in today and left the same day because the room was absolutely unacceptable. The bed smelled strongly of sweat, and it was clear the sheets had not been changed. There were visible stains on the bedding, and the pillows were yellowed and dirty. It was genuinely gross and did not feel sanitary at all. The room itself is very dated and feels more like a cheap motel than a Marriott. The doors to the rooms are difficult to open, like they’re stuck or misaligned on the hinges, which just adds to the rundown feeling. This is great if you’re doing anything Disney. We actually came to town for non Disney so it was not a good choice for us because we were stuck in Disney traffic. The location is close to a lot. IHOP, Denny’s and Waffle House are so close. The lock to our door was messed up so we had problems leaving and coming. They did not fix it while we were there. But the rooms were clean enough. The main pool was nice. It includes a kids water play area. There is a Jumbotron by the main pool. There is also an area with outdoor games and just nice for the kids to play.
