Courtyard by Marriott New Haven Wallingford

Stayed here for two nights in July. Wasn't expecting much given prior reviews and knowing this was a basic Courtyard. In the end we had a great experience which started with a very friendly and efficient check-in process (unfortunately cannot remember her name).||This is a 1990s style Courtyard... old school... with two long buildings connected by a lobby and with an actual courtyard in the middle! All, or most, rooms have small balconies. Everything was recently renovated, including lobby, common areas, hallways and guest rooms. The renovations were material, including bathrooms, carpets, most furniture, and the beds. Everything appeared clean and fresh, the hallways and rooms felt new. ||During our stay we noticed the hotel was hosting sizeable groups for weddings in the area. A

The room had a different set-up, if you say in bed you had to watch TV sideways. The pillows and mattress were amazingly comfortable. The room was very clean. Everything needed was provided except for hand lotion. I only missed it because we went in the dead of winter and I could've really used it. But everything else was there and was great. They have a large market downstairs, lots of snacks options. We got breakfast in the lobby in the morning and it was SO GOOD. It was ready quickly, delicious and filling. The coffee was perfect, highly recommend the restaurant in the lobby.

Pros: Friendly Staff, flexible, cozy, inviting, easy to find parking space! Cons: Door to room was hard to open, comforter was itchy, price of room wasn’t fully disclosed only the base price not including tax and other fees. Went during a snow storm but the atmosphere was inviting and the front employee at the time was very understanding of the situation outside. The room given was spacious and quite comfortable however I thought the price given to me by the staff was the full disclosed price however it was not. Either way it was pleasant stay besides the comforter and blankets being very itchy. The shower was nice and the appliances in the room worked like a charm.

This hotel is clean and bed is comfortable to sleep. will stay here if i come for next trip.Highly recommend to friends.

I stayed at this hotel a while back, it was pretty good, then decided to come back recently and enjoyed it more. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, so were the pillows. I liked how they had the closest in the bathroom area. One thing my family didn't care for is having the sink in a separate room than the toilet and shower. Other than that, we liked it a lot
