Courtyard by Marriott Myrtle Beach Broadway

When hotel is at capacity, the hot water heater cannot keep up at all. From talking to staff members, this is a common occurrence. Letting the water run longer as suggested by the front desk, does not help. They said maintenance would be in the next morning, but they would not release us from the rest of our reservation to go elsewhere with warm water. No compensation offered, just and “it happens”. Staff was polite, just no solutions. Per SC DHEC, a hotel is to have warm water. If not, you need to lower what is considered capacity. Location is convenient to the convention center.

The lobby felt very Welcoming, I loved the decor.|Kaleem was very pleasant and suggested great local places to dine at.|I will definitely be recommending this hidden gem to family and friends. It's a mile away from the beach. It's also near a lot of attractions and shopping. |Thank you, Marriott for another great stay.

Our vacation house rental ended on Saturday but our flight was Sunday so we needed a place to stay for one night. We paid the stay extra rate ($80) for early morning check in and late afternoon check out which included a $10 bar voucher. The bar was closed and we were allowed to use the voucher at the Starbucks stand within the hotel. The service at the Starbucks "cafe" was excellent and although the server did not have my name listed as a voucher holder he granted me the discount. The hotel receptionist seemed bothered to assist me with my check in and reservation and never welcomed me as a Bonvoy member. While it’s in a great location, this hotel is a disgrace to the Courtyard name. The rooms may look nice in their pictures, but it does not tell the truth. Upon arrival to the hotel, it was very pleasant to unload our luggage beneath a person smoking on the balcony above. I asked if there were any complimentary waters, but was told to use the water fountain. They used to, but not any more, I was told. The room was perhaps the dirtiest Marriott I’ve ever stayed in. While the beds were clean, the floor and tabletops were covered in random crumbs, dirt, and other stuck on debris. The Bible was growing some sort of mold on it, and the balcony door was in a total state of disrepair. Additionally, the mini fridge was broken, the 3 small pillows were lousy, and the wall mounted thermostat was bro

It was an okay stay. The area was nice and only took a couple of minutes just to get to everything else like the Broadway at the Beach and other convenient locations. My issues were just minor preferences. Like the bed and small pillows weren't super comfy. Or my room was right across from the ice machine. I can't believe how many people needed ice late at night, so that annoyed me a little. Besides that, good price, location and free parking.
