Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown

I decided to visit Ft, Lauderdale for my oldest daughter 25th birthday February 2026. I booked this hotel at the last minute and when I tell you this Marriott was beautiful, clean, rooftop on the 9th floor that’s breathtaking, 2 onsite restaurants, and valet for the entire stay( now you do have to pay for it but it’s worth it). Walking into the Marriott courtyard downtown Ft. Lauderdale smells like heaven. Everyone is nice, the room is super nice. I stayed on the 7th floor. This hotel is 15 minutes from the beach and all restaurants and just very convenient. Listen- I’m a huge critic on hotels when traveling and I was super pleased wit this hotel. Book this today!! I will definitely come back to this Courtyard Marriott when I come back to visit Ft. Lauderdale. The staff was great as well

The rooms are very nice. My room was clean and well stocked. Front desk accommodated early arrival for me which I really appreciated! Parking is valet only. Valet staff were super friendly and pretty fast. The biggest negative was location and noise. Because the hotel is right on Federal Highway, you hear traffic noise at all hours. I was awakened three times by the sounds of cars speeding/racing! Ear plugs would be a very nice amenity to provide guests. The hotel was booked for me by my company so I had no idea of the location noise issues! Also, it is a major inconvenience to not have a check-out option on the app like Hilton does! Stopping at the desk was not easy with luggage, laptop, etc. Come on Marriott!! Add check-out to your app!

This is a difficult review to write because the hotel itself is quite nice. Why a two rating - the noise situation is unacceptable, and management is incompetent to allow the situation in the first place. A nightclub sits atop. THe noise reverberates throughout the hotel. I was right below it and it went till two am even though it was supposed to stop at 11pm which btw is still late. Apparently there are private events and they go on into the morning. The front desk was powerless to do anything, they said the club is separate (bad management to allow such an arrangement). I never heard back from hotel management when I voiced my concern at the situation and emailed twice after staying there. Delightful stay overall. Small issues with management system.

I had a great stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and professional. The location is perfect — very close to the cruise port and the airport, which made traveling super convenient. There are also plenty of food options and grocery stores within walking distance, which was a big plus. I paid $200 a night through my job rate, and for the location and cleanliness, it was well worth it. I would definitely stay here again before or after a cruise.
