My Dad and I had a lovely one-night stay here! It was a beautiful hotel with friendly people. Inviting lobby and a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the Animas River. The bistro food left something to be desired, but otherwise it was a comfortable, quiet stay.

We reserved a room with a King size bed and received one with 2 twins. The lady at the front desk rudely would not help fix the issue. In the middle of the night there was sumo wrestling going on above us. No continental breakfast. This place is old and not worth the high cost.

I've never left a review before but I felt like this one needed one. The girl at the front desk was nice when we got here and when we walked it the hotel looked nice at first glance. When we got to our room it smelled strange to me, but I thought maybe it was because it was near the pool in the first floor. We got ready for bed and the longer we stayed in the room the worse I felt and the more I realized the smell was sewer gas. The girl at the front desk was nice and said she would come and see. She didn't come into the room, just stood by the door but she said she could smell it and said she would get us another room. She came back with a new key for a room across the hall. It was my son and I so we needed two beds but she said all the was left were kings and pull out beds, which was fin

Positive: Recycling basket in room. Front desk personal. bar/bistro great food and drinks. Great local shampoo conditioner and bodywash in shower Negative: The 3 luggage cart were not returned by guest that used them for over4 hours or more, resulting that rest of hotel quests had two go back to car multiple times to unload and upload. Frontdesk tried but was unable to locate any of the cart.

Lady was nice when we walked in and the initial look of things was nice, but when we told her the room smelled like sulfer(which can be compared to the smell of sewage), she moved us to a room where the neighbors were having some kind of fiesta. After asking for more assistance, instead of informing the other vacationers that 11pm isnt a great time to be partying it up, she told us that our only option was to move to a room upstairs. Which of course didn't have any sheets or blankets, like the paper on the wall says It has, for the couch bed. Also when you look a little closer at things such as the elevator button panel, ypu will notice it moves when you push the buttons. The place seems like its been put through it.
