Courtyard by Marriott Blacksburg

The hotel is well managed and staff are attentive. Located at the edge of Blacksburg, VA near Virginia Tech, its conveniently located just off Rt 460. The hotel has a nice Bistro for a cold beer and simple food. Currently going through a renovation which will last into early 2026.

Our overnight stay at the Marriott Courtyard,  Southpark Dr, Bkacksburg, VA was excellent.  Family was in town to visit Virginia Tech on an admissions visit.||Room very clean, comfortable.  Hotel on quieter side of town with msny restaurants and a Krogers nearby - and very close to Main Street and the VT campus.||What made the hotel so nice was the front desk folks, especially Mary and Larie.  Kind, engaging folks who answered many questions I had and gave great advice about the local area and how it and VT has changed, recommendations on nearby good coffee places, the policies of the hotel and even a Willy Wonka golden ticket discussion.  We talked VT football, my time attending VT in the 1980s, and our excitement about our cutrent visit.  These are truly two great members of the hotel te

I've stayed at many Courtyards across the US. This is by far, the worst one. It's grimy and dingy. The first room I had, the deadbolt was stuck so the door didn't close and there was grease dripping from the bathroom ceiling. The staff was great; the villain is the owner who clearly doesn't maintain or update this property. Stay away from this place.

Extra-large suite with sitting areas in bedroom. The suite had a separate large comfortable living area with kitchen. The front desk personnel were awesome seeing that I had everything I needed and making me feel as though they really appreciated my business! Well-kept clean facility with good food and great amenities. Highly recommend staying!

Stayed here during VT move-in week. Rates tripled for the week. But hotel is far from worth the price paid. As other reviews have indicated, place is a bit "used" and dingy. Lobby area ok, but rooms, bathrooms, hallways, elevators are all showing wear (esp. bathrooms). Staff is nice. Parking easy. Location to VT is fine. Would only come back if other Marriott location is sold out...as was the case this time.
