Courtyard by Marriott Atlantic City Beach Block

Honestly I'm still at a loss. I'll just attach photos of what the hallway looked and sounded like. There was no active construction when we entered our room. 5-10 minutes after entering our room and unpacking, a crew of people starting working in the hall. We had 2 rooms to accommodate our family. I couldn't even walk from one room to another. The pictures don't even show the worst of it. It got worse and messier each minute that passed. They were sanding the walls and wearing masks. The hallway was filled with dust and debris. The noise was ridiculously loud. I wish I could attach the videos I have. Its honestly unreal. Even when asked multiple times to let us walk through to get out as we were trying to switch rooms, they wouldn't. We had to climb over everyone and all the mess. The fron

I was very disappointed during my stay. While the staff probably did the best they could, the entire experience was not representative of the Marriott Brand. I stayed from Oct 23-Oct 31.||I booked a week's stay using my Chime card. I received a confirmation and was all set. When I arrived, I was told that they cannot accept a Chime card. While I understand policies are policies, there was no mention of this in any confirmation email or when booking online. They were basically ready to turn me away until I showed another credit card. Imagine I had not had another card. This would have been devastating. Positive: Staff was great helping to move me to a room with functioning a/c. Location was very convenient to the boardwalk and restaurants. Parking was a very reasonable fee (compared to other properties). Negative: A/c wasn't working in the first two rooms we were assigned. Staff was great, though, and made sure the third room's hvac was actually working before moving us again.

For a hotel that had recent renovation, those renovations didn’t make our experience remotely enjoyable. $20 a day for parking seems excessive. When we got into our room, the room had an “odor” describable as dirty sweaty socks. It was noticeable enough that we requested a new room which the staff was nice and moved us to a different room. The hot water for a shower took 8 minutes to get warm. Light switches didn’t work. Multiple times 2 out of three of elevators stopped working. Spoke to a couple who got stuck in the elevator and the emergency call button didn’t work. They had to call the front desk from their cell phone to get someone’s attention and eventually be let out. Saw at least 2 water leaks on the 1st floor. The one water leak water was pouring out of the ceiling on the carport

Absolutely a NO GO. I checked in on November 22 for a one-night stay but ultimately decided to leave the same day due to multiple concerns regarding the overall quality of the hotel. We chose this hotel as a last-minute resort due to the fact that we had an event to attend in Atlantic City for that night. I would like to note that the front desk associate Aminah was the sole positive aspect of my experience. She was courteous, helpful, and demonstrated excellent customer service & truly the ONLY reason I gave more than 1 star on the “service” aspect. In addition, she was literally the only person working the front desk from the moment we got there.
