Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, San Carlos, CA

The hotel is nice and new. It is clean. It is also conveniently located. Parking is free and plentiful. Showers are much better than in the Holiday Express in the next block, where you have to get into the shower and only then turn on the water which is inevitably cold. The Internet connection is reliable and easy, These are the positives. Here are the negatives. The complex a/c and heating system required a manual - we could not figure it out during our first night and couldn't sleep at all. Next day a very nice front desk person helped us figure it out. Thanks to her! On Saturday morning we got a phone call from the front desk if we want our room prepared. We said yes, please prepare it. There is nothing about optional room cleaning in the hotel reservation form, we are not asked this qu

This place is an exceptional value! We had to make last minute arrangements after my son got sick and staying with family fell through. Breakfast is included and free parking! Staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was street noise, but all in all we had a wonderful stay!

The hotel is reasonably priced and located in the charming town of San Carlos, a short drive to the south of San Francisco International Airport. It has its own free self-parking lot on site, which had ample numbers of spaces and made it easy to move baggage between our rental car and our guest room. Staff is friendly, the hotel lobby is comfortable and welcoming, and there is a free buffet in the ground-floor atrium for hot breakfast between 6am and 9am daily (e.g., eggs, sausage or bacon, diced potatoes, waffles, bagels & bread, oatmeal and cereals, fresh fruit, juices & milk, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea). The guest room was clean, comfortable, and spacious with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, TV, armchair, desk & chair, and lots of lamps and light switches that made it convenient

Our stay at the Country Inn and Suites San Carlos was very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and quiet, even though our room faced the street. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. A highlight of the stay was having Joel assist us with check-in. We will choose this hotel the next time we go to San Carlos.

Its a nice place to stay. Rooms are clean, not old, quite spacious for just 1 person and everything you need is there. Breakfast is simple but more then enough choice. The setup of the lounge is quite funny. All rooms are build 'around' the lounge ( breakfast area ). Never saw that before. One remark: the hotel is next to a traintrack, where normal and freight trains are driving all day long. I didn't find it annoying, but if you want / need complete silence, this is not the hotel for you. Or you must ask a room on the other side.
