Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Hot Springs, AR

Stayed for 4 nights this last week. There isn't much to say, it is what it is for a budget hotel. It needs work, very clearly. Things were chipped, cracked, etc. Our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The key card and to be reset a few times. At one point housekeeping came in and took all our towels, but did not do anything else. No new towels, garbage still full, bed still unmade, etc. Was almost like they came in and got started but then forgot to do anything else and left! Hahaha! Everyone working the front desk was very helpful and kind, morning and nights. Though it is in need of a remodel, it was very clean. It was also quiet with no disturbances or anything like that.

The employees were amazing, however the owners need to spend some money in the place. I had to get a second room. Both rooms were on the 3rd floor. It was very dark in the hallway. The first room I was given had no working phone, no door security latch and the bath tub assistance handle was missing. The second room was better equipped however the springs in the mattress collapsed on one side leaving a weird hole. The bed was HARD! pillows are also not regular sized. They are smaller than a standard pillow. I will end up staying here again due to location where I need to be. Hopefully some upgrades can take place before February.

Positive: Breakfast. Negative: I very strongly suspect bed bugs were present. I woke up on the second morning of what was supposed to be a three night trip, with multiple bite on my wrist. I left early because of this. Staff member at the front desk was on the phone when I checked out.

Very friendly/ informative staff. Location was great. Approximately 7miles from downtown Hot Springs. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Con- our rooms lights by the beds didn't work and the tub was a bit clogged and didn't drain well when showering. (Room 202)But we had wall plugs to charge our phones by the bed and by the desk. Has a small indoor pool thats 5ft at the deepest point with a handicapped lift. Water was a bit cool. Pool towels provided but a bit small. Breakfast was satisfying with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffle maker, doughnuts, muffins and bagels available along with assorted juices/ milk and coffee. Our room was very nice although it did smell like cigarette smoke. Not too big of a deal as we didn't have our children. Breakfast was just okay. It would have been nicer except for the 2 boys making a huge mess and touching all the food. They left opened packets everywhere and ate right out of the containers. My husband thinks they might have belonged to one of the workers as he saw them night before and they were still in the breakfast room when we left.
