Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Columbus-Edinburgh

The hotel was horrible. The room was dirty and outdated. We had cold water for the first two nights. It was 20 degrees out. Asked immediately to get it fixed. It remained unfixed for a total of two nights. It was finally fixed on our third and fourth night of our stay. The interior of the hotel is filthy. The cleanliness of the hotel is horrible. We stayed in a suite and that room was dirty. They were weird stains on the lampshades. The doors were filthy. The bathroom had wallpaper that was peeling behind the wallpaper was mold. Needless to say I will never ever ever stay there again. I don’t often post reviews. I am posting this one because everybody needs to know what they are booking before they go do not waste a single penny on this place. The only bright spot to this place was a staff

The check in was smooth, courteous and professional. The hotel was clean and maintained. My suite was clean, in working order and also well maintained. It was quiet while I stayed there. I would warn that like many places if there are children above or below on the floors you can hear them. I noticed this on my last night but whoever was above me quieted down fairly quick so still a pleasant stay. The balcony was an unusual bonus and the outdoor seating options in the warmer months as well as indoor public spaces were quite nice.

Despite the mixed reviews, me and my mom booked this hotel to spend the night on the way to Michigan as it was the cheapest hotel around. Despite a youth softball tournament in town that weekend, the front desk clerk had a great attitude when checking us in. Despite all the kids at the hotel, my mom and I didn’t hear them when we turned in for the night and breakfast and coffee was well stocked the next morning. I would stay here again.

Overall it was a good stay. The lady at desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and mattress comfortable. One thing I had a problem with and it might not be for some. Is the breakfast, now its included so I guess I can't say much. But the eggs and sausages were cold even though they were in a warmer. I don't know if they had the warmer not set right but they were cold. The orange juice wasn't 100% orange juice. I don't know if it was some sort of powder they mixed up but not 100% oj. I love my oj in the morning. The one thing that saved them was, the waffle maker. You didn't get just one big waffle, there was four little Belgian waffles. They were cute and good. Plus, not much of a variety to choose from. Overall, I would stay there again but probably skip the breakfast.

First and foremost, thank you to the friendly staff—they were the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately, the property itself needs significant updates. The hotel looks, feels, and smells dated, which negatively impacted my overall experience. As a result, I did not enjoy my stay and would not choose this hotel again. Ownership should prioritize comprehensive renovations and improvements as soon as possible.
