Cotton House, Cleveland, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The location of this hotel can’t be beat. It is centrally located within walking distance of several restaurants, coffee shops, the walking trail (with 50 nights of lights during the holidays), shops etc. Service was just ok. Friendly staff, however, there was a line at check-in and credit card access was not working. Rooms were average. Light bulbs missing or blown out, no info on housekeeping, nothing in the rooms indicating hours etc for rooftop bar and ground floor restaurant. Our last night there was no hot water and they did not have the hot water restored the next morning. No apologies, no rebates on room charge. Dined in the restaurant for lunch one day. What a massive disappointment. I know (as you can see from my 200+ hotel reviews) that I normally stay in deluxe 5 star hotels, but on our road trip from Nashville to New Orleans, this was the only option a few hours south of Memphis.||Cleveland itself seems a nice enough little town with a quaint Main Street.||The hotel, from a physical perspective, looks perfectly acceptable and appears to be finished to a high specification, but step inside and - it’s chaos.||We arrived at the front door and no valet - fine. No bellboy - fine. The Cotton House in Cleveland is an amazing boutique hotel! The rooms are clean, stylish, and extremely comfortable. The hotel has so many great amenities — from the rooftop bar, on-site restaurant, fitness center, and relaxing lounge areas — it truly feels like a luxury stay in the Delta. The location is perfect right in downtown, close to shops and restaurants. Overall, an incredible experience. Highly recommend staying here anytime you’re in Cleveland, Mississippi!
