Corona Hotel

I slept through the trains surprisingly. It was the hotel staff that was loud enough to wake me and my spouse up!! We travelled far enough to be paying customers who were walking most of the day sightseeing. We were very tired n needed the well deserved rest that barely even happened. My spouse had to call the front desk n tell them but the lady was still loud having NO respect for others. All I can say is that we would not recommend this place for anyone else.

This was the closest place we found that was reasonably priced when LGA flights got super delayed. It was reasonably close to the airport and easy to get to with a rideshare. Got here late at night so it looked seedy but it was relatively safe, most of the patrons we saw were Hispanic. The only weird thing is that the lobby is in the basement and the counter was behind a security glass. You get your keycards and head up the elevator to your room, the elevator wasn’t too big but was pretty quick. We got a room with a king bed and the room was clean, spacious and smelled nice, maybe too nice, too much fragrance from the air freshener. As per usual, summer storms cancelled an enormous amount of flights, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at LGA. I tried (and failed) to book a one way car to get to my destination, and hotels near LGA were in short and expensive supply. There was one very close to the airport with terrible reviews on booking.com but Corona Hotel had a decent price tag and decent reviews....on booking.com. Had I checked here, I would have run the other way.||The Good: cheap enough for one night, based on prices around LGA for that night. The desk clerk was friendly and efficient. There is an elevator to the rooms and the lobby. Corona is a nice little hotel. Not much in the way of amenities, I chose this hotel because its close to USTA center for the US Open. Walking distance. The hotel was clean, staff was helpful.

If your a smoker this is the place for you the rooms smelled great and parking was very convenient along as you dont have an oversized vehicle.
