Coratel Inn & Suites by Jasper Hastings

I took a job working @ Prairie Island Nuclear plant. Start date was Sept 8 for a 1 month outage (Oct 10). It lasted until Oct 28 for me. I was told of a better rate hotel (Hastings Inn), but it was filled. I chose Coratel, which was considerably higher in cost, partially due to a roommate. Distance to work was reasonable, most conveniences were close. Room itself was ok, not clean to my expectations, I had to retrieve my own clean towels, tp, request vacuum service when I heard them in the hall. Hot h20 went out on a Saturday night (sometime), so early Sunday morning until Monday we had No Hot water. I expressed my concern & was told they tried to get someone there asap. Monday morning I spoke with service guy, he said they were called on Monday. I did speak with owners (Middle Easte

Positive: location Negative: We booked a smoking room, got our room key, but we couldn't get into the room. The manager on duty went to try it and there was someone already in the room. He offered to give us another room, but non smoking. I asked for a discount, he refused.

I would not stay at this hotel again. I reserved online, photos online were ok but not as perceived. I stayed 2 nights. All mirrors and glass from entering, through the reception desk, hallway and the room were very dirty. The toilet bowl had rings having been there a long time. One lamp no plug in, one without bulb. Carpet in room and hallways needs vacuuming in corners.||||The appearance outside is not as nice as on the website. The front lot of the hotel is an RV lot and a broken down car was parked outside the entrance and another in the parking lot.||||It was not secure. My husband, baby and I stayed at Coratel Inn over the weekend. The location was very nice. It was within walking distance from a decent amount of places to eat, gas stations, and there was a Walgreens nearby. We didn't really need any assistance from the staff while we were there. There was an ice machine but we didn't use it. Breakfast was a disappointment. Honey buns, little muffin bites, and powdered donut packages. Nothing nutritional of any sort. The room we were in seemed clean... At first. I didn't want my baby crawling around on a dirty floor, so I took a towel and some soap... The towel came back black. It definitely was a smoking room, but I know smoking usually leaves a yellow almost orange stain, so I'm just assuming the floors are swept and not actually cleaned. My facial rag

It's becoming cheaper within every visit. You don't get cups for your room lately as they have been out. There's a broken lamp in a bedroom on the first floor located by a back door entry that has a constantly running bathroom faucet, hard water buildup on the shower head and the room smells of smoke. The smoke detector is unwired inside its metal cage. That's not the only room with that fire hazard, they know these things about the rooms. Nothing is offered or done about it so I don't bother talking to staff, I just make reviews on Google to give the public a heads up on my personal experience.
