Coral Sands Motel

I stayed here for two night with my mom and my grandma in September and it was really nice here. Really close to the beach, and most things in town are within walking distance! Two beach tags came with the room but we didn't need them since the summer season was over, the BBQ place inside the motel was also closed for the season. Beds were actually decently comfortable, and service was amazing! Our room had a door connecting to the room next us, this let us hear what they were doing very clearly, but no other noise pollution due to concrete walls and ceiling. Was actually pretty quiet for being so close to the beach.

The cost of this hotel is excellent considering the location. Right over the 9th Street Bridge and one block from the beach and boardwalk, you can't ask for a better location. The room was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. We had an issue with our air conditioner that we didn't realise until after 10pm at night. I called, hoping they could give us a fan, as I didn't expect they could fix it at that time of day, but they came with a brand new air conditioner within a half hour. I was so impressed. The owners are very accomidating and kind.

pros - closeness to the boardwalk and beach. the staff were very nice. the room was clean. the water pressure was amazing. the price was reasonable. parking was great, right outside of our door. cons - there are lots of maintenance issues that need attention. the vinyl floor strips were all loose. like bad. we tripped over them constantly. if you spill anything on the floor, it gets under them. yuck. you can see under the door to the outside. It just needs a door sweep. there’s a plunger next to the toilet just on the floor. no container. gross. if you have your television on, everything is OK but as soon as you turn it off, you can hear everything in the next room. the coffee provided was really bad. one bed was comfortable with a memory foam topper. the other felt like you were sle

Stayed here for two nights on June 4-6. For the price I paid which was $120 and $109 respectively, I got my money’s worth. The room was spacious with some color splashed behind the bed. The bathroom was modern with upscale looking tile and a large shower. It was a nice surprise having a patio to look out and people watch while I ate lunch. My main complaint would be the beds weren’t that comfortable nor were the pillows. The TV also wasn’t working, but I should’ve brought that up. Parking is very tight, thankfully I have a small sedan. Location is fantastic. So convenient being close enough to the beach that when I needed something, I could walk to my room and back easily. I had a very basic room, not a kitchenette. Staff is sweet. The room (2 double beds) was very clean and well-supplied with towels, pillows, soaps, small microwave, small fridge. One of the beds was soft, one very very firm. But my main problem was that the AC ran non-stop and loud because there is a gap under the room’s exterior door. I applied towels to the gap to try to cut down on AC noise at night. Tiny window in bathroom right over the restaurant garbage cans (ugh, the smell). Not a place to relax, sleep, etc. I am glad it wasn’t rainy during my stay and I could roam the boardwalk and beach. So glad to go home to sleep after 3 nights.
