Comfort Suites Tallahassee Capitol - University Area

I recently stayed at the Comfort Suites downtown Tallahassee and wanted to share what an awesome experience it was. The General Manager, Matt and his assistant, Randy were very accommodating and professional. The entire staff deserves recognition for the outstanding job they do. Special Kudos to the young lady that kept the breakfast bar cleaned and fully stocked each morning, the gentleman in house keeping that replaced my linen in my room, and Neal from maintenance who kindly helped me carry my luggage. Their customer service truly made a difference during my stay. I will definitely be staying at this location again and will highly recommend it to others. Great Job to your entire team! Front desk gentleman was very pleasant and unfortunately the experience ended there. 1) room smelled like wet dog, body odor, and mold. Purchased a renuzit gel scent tree, opened it all the way up, and made zero difference. 2) The room felt “sticky” all over. Remote for the TV, table tops, floors. It was like we were taking occupancy after a frat party with only a “fluff” of room preparedness. 3) The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. We purchased Clorox Cleanup spray to spray down the shower floor. It had dark filth build up on the floor. There was black mold along the silicone caulk around the glass shower door. 4) It literally took a solid 5 mins for the hot water to reach our shower. If you are a woman traveling by yourself, do not stay at this hotel. I travel to Tallahassee for business frequently and stayed here recently for what was supposed to be five nights but ended up only being one. After less than 12 hours, I checked out when at 8:00am when I was getting ready the maintenance man attempted to get into my room without knocking. If I hadn't had the latch closed, he would have fully walked in while I was changing. When he couldn't get in, he knocked and after putting myself together I slightly opened the door to him showing me a piece of paper that said the room was vacant. My key card with my name on the card holder and me sleeping in that room said otherwise. Less than five minutes later he came back telling me he needed my information because "he couldn't find

Stayed here over the holidays with family and this hotel is fantastic. Staff is exceptional and the General Manager went out of his way to make sure my additional requests were met. Clean room and breakfast was delicious each morning. We will definitely stay again when we come back in the spring.
