Person at the desk the day of my arrival was amazing, they were so helpful pointing out places to go and things to do for my stay, as this was my first time in Oceanside. I was thrilled to see them again my day of check out and we had a lovely chat about going to the beach; 5 minutes away and they hadn't been in a year!||||Window in my room was open when I entered and was horribly difficult to shut, Windows should never be opened except by guests or at the least closed before guest arrival. The bed was atrociously hard, very difficult to sleep, and the pillows are lumpy blobs, thankfully I brought my own.||||The desk person on Monday was not so great at friendly, no smile at all whatsoever, didn't really make me feel welcome at all.

I stayed here recently just to look at my deposit being taken. I stayed for three days, $500.00, I am a diamond member for choice hotels. I asked when I checked in to please clean my room the night before like they asked of the guest. The house keeping did not clean my room. So I ask again please clean my room the next day. I get a house keeping knock at 9am but I am not out of bed yet. I told them I'll get ready and leave and you can come back and clean at 10am. I left all day, the house keeping did not clean my room again. It was pretty late, I tried asking why day two they did not clean my room like I asked. The supervisor didnt seem apologetic and even had to come in and clean himself and grabbed things on my ground and threw them away himself. I asked them can you "please change my

We had to cancel our stay due to an emergency surgery for our child. Booking.com tried to advocate on our behalf, but the hotel declined to make any exception or offer flexibility. We even asked if a voucher for a future stay or a partial refund could be considered, but that request was also declined. I understand that cancellation policies exist, and I respect that. That said, this was a genuine medical emergency, and we truly wished we could have taken this trip instead of being in the hospital with our kid. In moments like these, a little flexibility and humanity can go a long way. Because of this experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It reflects the type of values and level of service the hotel chooses to provide when guests face real emergencies. I hope the hotel reflects

I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and always enjoy my stay but this time was terrible ! I will be writing a review! I get there and get assigned to the third floor room then she proceeds to tell me the elevator doesn’t work ! I have bad knees and asked for the first floor but was told there was none available then the phone kept beeping all night ! Breakfast which is always great which is why I stay there also was mediocre at best ! I think I will be looking elsewhere next time and I will call for some type of credit on my credit card !

We have stayed at this property many, many times over the years and liked it very much. This time, the elevator didn't work the entire 4 days we were there, the appearance on the inside was shabby in many areas, torn wallpaper, many large scrapes along the walls and doors, it needs a complete overhaul to spruce it up inside. The lobby looks fine, but when you get into the kitchen or other areas (including the bathrooms in the rooms), there are so many things that need fixing, painting, restaining, replacement wallpaper, etc. We were disappointed in it majorly this time, likely won't go back as a result and it had been our "go to" place for years.
