Comfort Suites Grandview - Kansas City

Comfort suites in Grandview is our stopping point to our final destination. we have stayed here past four years and this place still looks amazing. Very clean and easy to get off the highway.

Quick Review. Pros: Clean beds, nice staff, ok breakfast. No bugs! Cons: Dirty pullout bed in the couch. Outdated room amenities and appliances. AC was iffy. Wifi sucked. Overall, if you need a place to stay in a pinch, this place will do. Detailed review. Lobby is nice and desk staff were polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was clean at a surface level, but in need of updates, small repairs, and maybe a coat of paint. Walls were grungy, tile cracked in the bathroom, and there were cigarette burns on several items and surfaces in the room. However, the room did not smell of smoke and the whole property is supposed to be non-smoking. I always wipe down the hard surfaces in hotels and my wipe came up clean on all surfaces. I try to stay in Comfort Suites whenever I travel. There were a lot of little things that, to my perception, came short of the excellence I'm accustomed to: 1. The room door didn't automatically close all the way. 2. The security lock didn't engage. 3. There was no shampoo in the shower dispenser 4. The hardboiled eggs on the breakfast bar weren't shelled. 5. We were told we don't get a free bottle of water upon check in. Like I said, just a lot of little things. But little things eventually lead to big things.

I never feel the need to review hotels but since there are so many negative reviews on here I feel the need to post a positive. We had a great experience here. I was leery because of all the negative reviews. The lobby & rooms were clean. I wouldn't say it's an amazing hotel but it's basic. The walls have some marks on them & the bathrooms are a little worn down but I don't know what people's expectations are of a hotel thats so cheap. The breakfast was average & nothing special. We were here for 2 nights for a soccer tournament & we felt safe & the rooms felt clean. We were also close to the fields & restaurants.We were happy with our stay & hopefully this helps others out. I do know a person in our group had a bad experience so maybe it just depends if you get a clean room.

Hotel is old. Clean Towels are stained and have hair in them. The cleaning staff leaves rooms with no shampoo for check in. The breakfast is gross and the attendant working hides and doesn’t refill anything. This hotel is a terrible value compared to others in the area. I would not stay here again.
