Comfort Suites Ennis

Our stay was interesting. We arrived late, about 2 p.m. The lady, a very sweet and helpful young woman, ushered us to a room without a working air conditioner. When I asked for help, she immediately gave us another room where the air conditioner worked fine. I could not get the shower to turn on in the second room, but the day-manager, Norma, immediately gave us another room where the shower worked fine. I realize that the motel was probably being remodeled, but they really need to find a better maintenance man. The only other complaint I have is that I could not close the curtains in any of the three rooms to either shut out the outside light or enjoy a some privacy in any of the three rooms--poor design. We stayed here due to its close proximity to the speedway for a nice weekend staycation. The room was spacious and clean enough. The bed was just ok- pillows were small like throw pillows. We felt relatively safe leaving the car parked out front, check in was a breeze and there was one luggage cart for our things. Unfortunately the moment you walk in you are hit with a strong smell of mildew which continues into the room. The hotel was quiet which we were thankful for and the location was nice. I believe with a few good handymen and some new carpet this place could be 10x better

The first hotel room had vomit on the floor. The second room had a broken A/C and plumbing. I can’t recall a worse hotel in Texas. Forget maid service or cleaning. ||We checked in on May 23rd and discovered something foul smelling on the floor of room 107. We should have left, but instead I told the front desk and they moved us to another room, 212.||Initially, things seemed better. But the A/C slowly died throughout the night. We left the room and went to our event and returned and the temp in the room was 80. I notified customer service, no reply. We thought we could tough it out because it was so late. We were wrong.||I forgot to mention, the toliet does not work very well. And maid service was non-existent.||I have notified everyone I can. I doubt they will make it right. At this poin

Was charged $35 to check in 30 minutes early even though the room was ready. Room smelled like stale mold. AC didn’t seem to work properly- it was super humid the entire stay. The front staff was completely rude. The breakfast was not good at all. And I didn’t not have hot water to shower with.

While the building was obviously old, it was clean and well kept. The price was great because we needed one that was affordable for our trip that would not force us to stay at a gross hotel. For this stay, it was a perfect choice. We hope that it will remain affordable and well kept.
