Comfort Suites Clayton - Garner

Mostly because of Stacy M. If not for her I would give you a 4. She was pleasant, helpful and just a 10. We had problems with our TV and she came up in 2 minutes and fixed the issue. She is management material for sure. Shocked she wasn't a manager. Your internet is horrible. Almost always had to put in password every day. The furniture is very old and needs replacing. Walls need painting. Breakfast was solid but not enough tables and chairs.

Overall okay but room for improvement for sure. Hotel didn't have a smell when you walked in which is my first assessment when walking into a hotel. The elevator was loud which made me a little uneasy but overall performed well. The rooms are very spacious. I had an air mattress for backup in case we didnt have a couch but we did so it worked well. The toilet is wobbly and moves everytime you sit. The shower was hot but no shampoo or soap in there it was all empty. There was enough towels which is usually an issue with a family of 5. There is a mini fridge and a microwave which is convenient. The dividing wall moved ... not sure if it's supposed to as I saw a wooden shim underneath it. The staff are phenomenal and super helpful. Breakfast was decent I wouldn't consider it a hot breakfast

If you need a family hotel that is clean, safe, with spacious rooms, great breakfast, easy parking and close to restaurants, small mall, pick the Comfort Suites. The rooms have all the basic things you need, breakfast is generous ( hot and cold food starting at 6:00), nearby you have plenty of choices for restaurants, CVS, Loews, at walking distance. Staff was very helpful, particularly the night staff ( a gentleman called Tre was super helpful to help me during the major storm, to find transport to the airport). We were traveling as a large group snd they managed to book us close to one another. I highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Flawless early check-in. I am traveling and working overnights on this particular project. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a hotel when you're rolling into town at 6 am. Tre is awesome! He was such a huge help. The rooms are nice, bed is comfortable and they give you plenty of pillows. Thanks for the flawless early check-in!

I am specifically referring to the Comfort Inn in Garner. I made a reservation and cancelled the same day. The clerk never gave a confirmation number nor gave me a cancelation number. However, they were quick to charge for 2 nights but refused a refund because they say they could not prove I cancelled even though the clerk said, "no problem, she will take care of it". The manager obviously does not know one thing about customer service and believed an incompetent clerk over a good guest. I would skip this hotel if I were you.
