Comfort Inn & Suites Mount Pocono

Hotel is in real bad shape, nothing works and rooms don't get clean for even 5 days of a stay.|The appearance is beat up! Our room (316) door is a FIRE HAZARD because it doesn't open from inside or out without using your entire body to try and open it. It takes a few attempts and takes two of us to pull on door to open from inside. To get into the room, you need to throw your shoulder into it real hard. God forbid we need to get out quickly due to fire or emergency!!!|We stayed for 5 days and not once was our linens changed. We even asked the cleaning to please do the whole room because all we got were new towels. We came back and still, beds were not cleaned or made up at all.|The vending machine didnt work during our whole stay.|The weather became really slippery with freezing sleet and

It would have been 5 stars all around but the pool area is very worrisome. The reception area was decorated beautifully, the rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was really good with many choices, the staff who greeted us to check in were very warm and friendly.... And then we take the kids to the pool and it's like how is this the same hotel. Whatever was going on with ventilation, the room was filled with mist and everything was wet. The floor, the chairs, the ceiling, and it was just dripping on us as we watched the kids play in the pool. The biggest concern was the mold on the ceiling. And not just like a small patch, it was very apparent that moisture was a problem and compared to the rest of the hotel, I'm not sure why it didn't match the effort put into the property.

I did not like that the breakfast area was in the lobby, open space, every time the door opened, we felt the cold breeze. Our room was nice, but there was hair in the bathtub and on the sink. Also the ceiling had lots of spots and above the shower there was cracks. the coffee maker did not have a cover on it. it was very hard to sleep, due the heat being so loud every time it came on.

Best part of stay was by far the customer experience from Shantel. She is what is keeping this hotel alive. She is top notch customer service. In am the pool maintenance person and doing brunch Rodney????? Extremely RUDE! Approached my son who is a doctor in the weight room early am. My son is sensitive to bright lights so kept them low. Employee walked in questioned him and as leaving turned the lights on. When In pool area as the paying customer he came in and questioned us when we were leaving. Wasn't personal at all. Also saw him at Breakfast buffet. He will shut your business down with his behavior. I got 2 rooms for my family and myself to spend holiday time yearly going forward. I will not return ever if this employee is still employed

Due to a power outage on Christmas Day, 2025 we had to seek a hotel on a very frigid day. We stopped in to this Comfort Inn and were greeted by the front desk representative, Christian. This was our first stay in a Comfort Inn but will not be our last because of the professionalism, compassion, and excellent manners exhibited by Christian. We made us feel so welcome and met our needs. In all this hotel was excellent and I highly recommend it!
