Comfort Inn & Suites Glenwood Springs On The River

We had a very nice stay at this comfort inn. The clerk that checked us in , Lucy, was very nice and personable and gave us several good suggestions. The room seemed newly redone, it had new bathroom fixtures and sink and new vinyl flooring which we like. The carpeting in the halls seemed new and they were working on front lobby so more improvements on the way. Breakfast was pretty standard with eggs and sausage, the waffle bar seemed pretty popular and they had a yogurt machine with toppings along with the regular pastries and cereals. One of the things we like best at this hotel is the underground parking. Probably 20 degrees warmer and no snow to clean off. The manager was at the desk at checkout and seemed very involved and friendly with the guests. We have stayed here quite a few times

For someone just passing through that needs a place to stay it is serviceable. This location is suboptimal for a family vacation. Our check went smoothly and the young lady was very pleasant and helpful. We immediately grabbed our luggage and once we got to our room, the key finally opened the door after several attempts. The initial impression ok. Room seemed clean and as advertised. We soon discovered the full kitchen was sparsely furnished including 4 spoons, 5 forks, two drinking glasses, no coffee pods in the single serve coffee maker, and no mixing/prep bowls. Plates, bowls, and cookware was sufficient. When I asked about this I was told the rooms are furnished as is. As previously stated, serviceable for a single overnight. Great rooms. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating, even got me an extra pillow when I asked. Breakfast was very good. This hotel is a bit far from the action but still very good. The only downsides were that the water pressure could have been way better & shower head was funky. But it was adjustable so that helped. We also found blood on the sheet & 1 pillowcase that wasn't ours.

The room was nice and felt clean. The hotel itself seemed clean as well. The only downside was the juice at breakfast was not actually juice, it was water, or water with just a hint of juice. Didn't see anyone at the time to ask about it. Otherwise the breakfast had a good selection, the eggs and sausage were still hot and tasty. The yogurt machine was a nice addition for a parfait.

The price was right, so despite it being a little bit of a drive from downtown, we took a chance after several years between stays. Checked in was quick. Got to the room and heard a loud buzzing right away from the fridge. Went back to the front desk and asked to be switched. 2nd room the 1st key we tried wouldn’t work once we got to our 3rd floor room, luckily, key #2 was ok. ||The bedding has seen better days with snags everywhere, there were coffee stains on the walls and something that looked like food on the shower curtain. It was quiet (even though we were directly in front of the elevator). The bedding was comfortable enough despite the fitted sheet not really fitting. I DO like that they still have bath tubs and the fridge and microwave in the room.||Breakfast was where it kind of
