Customer Reviews
The staff was extremely helpful and nice! When I was checking in, there was another customer that was being extremely difficult, rude and disrespectful. The front desk staff was very professional and handled it as well as they could have. The bartender was sociable and fun as well. The rooms were large and very clean. For the price, I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a little ways from Main St but there is a trolley that runs for $2
We have stayed at this location several times over the past three years. The rooms are always clean and kept well. Staff is always very nice and friendly. The included breakfast is always hot and pretty good. We have not had one complaint. Plus this location is near enough to everything but far enough out that it is quiet and peaceful.
Hotel is in severe need of an update. Paint peeling, old carpet, chemical streaks (we assume) all over the bathroom walls and surfaces. Beware: No alcohol allowed in pool/hotub area whatsoever. Signs threaten with $500 fine. 1st night the signs were not there. Unwelcome surprise when we showed up to relax. Other signs by the hot tub say no glass, which is entirely understandable-but complete ban is not fair. Paying customers should expect to enjoy a beer or other beverages when your goal is relaxing stay. Breakfast service was less than desirable. Not stocked. Waffles no syrup. Biscuits no gravy. Bacon was old and leathery. Chair upholstery is flaking off. No reinvestment in this property. We won’t be back.
Check in was good although the young man gave duplicate keys to another family. They opened our door as we were in the room. I believe it was an accident and corrected right away. The morning hostess was super helpful getting us a room the second night when we decided to stay. The room was clean and beds comfy. It's an older hotel with attached small casino. Breakfast was ok. The hot food ran out at times. Even when we went down early.
The room was huge and very nice. What we didn't like was the bus tours two days in a row. The bus people cleaned out all the food at breakfast and it was not replaced. There were no seats and no coffee. Also, we didn't like that you had to walk thru the dining room to get to the elevator for our room.
