Comfort Inn Saugerties

This place is lousy - if you're looking for a serviceable budget motel, just move on. When I checked in the room hadn't been cleaned, there were peanuts and popcorn crumbs all over the floor. It was late and I badly needed sleep, and when I called down to the front desk to have them clean the room the man at the front desk said "I'll be up in 5 minutes", and then never showed. Went back down to the front desk to see what was going on, and the guy was just standing there staring into space. After asking again to have the room cleaned or be switched to a room that was actually ready, he just kind of mumbled something and ultimately didn't do either. So I asked to borrow a broom and dust pan, cleaned the room myself and passed out. Real bummer.

Entire first floor full of section 8 housing. Stinks like weed. Lots of police action 100% not a place to stay alone or with family. Unless you’re looking for a drug deal.

Front desk person not especially friendly when we checked in although she did take care of our needs when asked. There were only a few tissues left in the box when we got to our room.The tub was slippery and there was no tub mat. The poor gentleman at breakfast had to take care of the front desk and refill the food for breakfast. The regular coffee and waffle mix were out. And last of all, for the price we paid for the room, it was definitely not worth it.

The night managers on the night of the 11 of October were terrible. I called because we were so lost - she told me the address and hung up on me!!! The tub was plugged and wouldn't drain and then the toilet was plugged. When I called the front desk she told me I could come and get the plunger. When I said I think not! Then she said or I could bring it to you. When she brought the plunger she told me it wasnt her job to plunge. I said well it's certainly not my job to fix your hotel!!! She plunged both the toilet and the tub. But once she left the toilet started to leak water on the bathroom floor. We just used your towels to soak it up as we were definitely not calling the front desk again!!! And you had the audacity to charge 400.00 for that room and service because it was a holiday wee

This hotel is a dump! I am not sure if there isn't enough help or the personnel at this hotel just doesn't care. The front desk clerk doesn't know what hes doing, we never saw a maid in our room so I made the bed and cleaned the bathroom. Breakfast was a joke, it looked like the cereal had been there for a month and they had no silverware in the bins, and the coffee was terrible and no one even thought to make another pot. There are 2 other hotels in the area so it must be a destination, but Choice should be embarrassed of this hotel
