Cloudland Canyon State Park Visitor Center

This Georgia state park is absolutely gorgeous! Sadly the main overlook trail was closed for construction but we still got some amazing views of the canyon. Our original plan was to hike down to only Cherokee Falls, but after passing several people who were huffing & puffing for air 😅 we decided not to make the trip down the stairs. We have not had rain in weeks and everyone we talked to on the trail told us it wasn’t worth the hike down & back up the stairs. The falls barely had any water trickling from it because it’s been so dry. I would definitely recommend going on a dry day after we have a good bit of rain to make it worthwhile. The trails were clean and clearly marked. We wondered around for a while and got several great photos to remember the beauty. I will be back when the weather

The most amazing place to stop and visit!! Only 50 ish minutes from Chattanooga TN. The views were breath taking literally!!! 5$ per vehicle on entering park So worth it!

This is a spectacular park with many walking trails and facilities. The visitors center is helpful too. We visited a waterfall at the base of the canyon. It was worth the long walk and all the stairs. Planning to return to explore more of the park and the area.

Beautiful view of the canyon. Just a short walk from the parking lot to the main overlook. If you want to hike down to the waterfalls, follow the sign and go to the left from the main overlook. We were there last week, when it was still cold and windy. There was an ice sheet melting on the side of the rock near the waterfall.

Beautiful State Park. They have a small gift shop, picnic pavilions, cabins, yurts, and campsites. I hiked the waterfall trail and loved how much flow both Hemlock and Cherokee had today
