Clarion Pointe Sulphur - Lake Charles

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. What really made our stay stand out, though, was Erin at the front desk. We arrived very late at night, completely exhausted, and she greeted us with a genuine smile and made check-in quick and welcoming. She immediately made us feel comfortable and glad to be there. The next morning, while I was trying to make breakfast, Erin came over on her own and offered to help. We ended up chatting for a bit, and she was one of the friendliest and nicest hotel clerks I’ve dealt with in a long time. You can truly tell she cares about her job and about the guests. had to change room due to mold in the air conditioner. Smell was bad. Next day we saw them cart down what appeared to be several filters to be changed. Dirty washcloth was still hanging from the shower rod. Chair to desk was broken and couldn't be raised. We had to carry a chair from the dining area up ourselves to be able to do any work. No lamp on the desk nor in the ceiling. Front desk said none were to be had. Very few breakfast items. Didn't eat there the second day. People unfriendly. After move, only had three pillows. When letting the front desk know, I was told it was good that I told them. Otherwise, I would have been charged for the missing pillow. The 2nd room toilet ran every 10 minutes. A horrible stay, a horrible decision. I chose the hotel, my wife chose a different one, I told her to go with the one she chose but she stayed the course, I told her “EXCEPTIONAL BREAKFAST” My wife eats breakfast, I fast, the description said “EXCEPTIONAL BREAKFAST". Reviews said 3.5 stars. I should have read more. We travel a lot, and stats in hotels by Choice, this was the worst choice ever. Bed fine, tv fine, furniture fine, just 1990's. No bath gel, but plenty of shampoo and conditioner. Under the toilet paper holder it looked like someone splashed feces on the wall. I workout, I asked about the fitness room, when I arrived, they said they have to open it. My sister Keisha had a reservation to check in tonight for a standard king room. Upon arrival she goes to check in and enter the room only to find that it’s a room with 2 queen size beds. My sister goes back downstairs to request that her booking be what she paid for and the front desk girl (Zapa) tells my sister that per her computer my sister reservation is for 2 queen size bed. My sister show this lady the confirmation and her concerns are completely discorded. My sister has health issues and can’t sleep in a queen size bed. However she didn’t want to put up a fuss so she let it go. I will be calling the corporate office as well to file a formal complaint against this lady.
