Candlewood Suites Lake Charles-Sulphur

I'll start by saying that there were hotels closer to my jobsite that I passed up because it was well worth the little bit of extra drive time. I travel extensively for work and of the all the places I've stayed, this is certainly a contender for the top spot. I've stayed at this hotel many times over the last two years and really can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is here. ||The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious and as I mentioned above, the staff and management is simply excellent. Extremely Unpleasant Stay – Terrible Customer Service and No Refund I recently stayed at Candlewood Suites, and unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of unpleasant. Not only was the stay uncomfortable, but I also faced an incredibly frustrating situation with no resolution in sight. I had to deal with a very urgent personal emergency during my stay, which included the health of my 5-month-old puppy. The situation was incredibly stressful, and I had to handle it while trying to manage my accommodation. On top of that, I was disappointed to find that I was unable to receive any sort of refund or compensation, despite the circumstances. I attempted to reach out to the manager multiple times – I called for four straight days and left several messages requesting a call back. Unfortu

This was a lovely, quiet room with a comfortable bed. However the pillows smash flat (not firm enough). Also, when I arrived the TV remote didn't work and the batteries were beginning to corrode in it and had to be replaced. Would recommend this be added to the cleaning person's checklist to ensure TV is working at the end of each guest visit. Staff was super polite and responsive. Loved the big refrigerator but was not informed that I had to turn the ice maker on to get ice (no other ice machine in the building).

We spent the last night of our vacation here this year and it was wonderful. I seriously thought this was one of the best places we stayed. Check in was easy and the desk clerk was very nice. I really liked that they had a comprehensive handout that explained how many of the amenities worked, offered suggestions, and was just in general very helpful. I have three Cs of travel: clean, comfortable, and convenient, this place checks all of the boxes. Super clean, comfortable beds, and an easy off from the interstate while still being quiet. 10/10 Donna recommended.

Warmly greeted by front desk girl, who was only on her 2nd day. Tammy, the manager, came out and also was warm and welcoming and thanked me for being a club member! The room was super clean and spacious. Restroom was massive and well lit. Hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend to anyone and can not wait to stay here again!
