Clarion Pointe Charleston - West Ashley

My wife and I checked in your hotel on saturday , february 14, 2026 approximately before 4pm at our Clarion Choice hotel on Savannah hwy in Charleston SC, our room number was 412. When we got in our room , we were highly disappointed! The sofa and the beds had trash on them , hair and dirt , where you can see them clearly that someone had already sleeping that bed and they did not put fresh and clean sheets on them! The bathroom floor was flooded and there was clearly a leak somewhere in there. The beds were dirty, kids clothes hangers were hanging up in the closets still, and trash was on the floor too! There was no telephone at all in the room for us to even call front desk for any concerns and even most importantly, a safety concern, because the bathroom was flooded , and we could have

Do. Not. Book. Here. The front desk lady was kind, but everything else was just terrible. The sheets were stained all over, the shower wouldn’t drain, water wouldn’t get hot in the shower, the counter of the sink bleached my shirt, neither TV had signal, the overhead lights didn’t work, the WiFi didn’t work, there was no phone in the room, the air conditioning was virtually non-existent in the entire hotel, the breakfast was only waffles and cereal, the elevator reeked of weed, and the place was overall just not clean. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to ask for towels and she told me to come downstairs and get them. After she told us at check in and they’d be putting some in our room. Room had a bad smell, was very old & not very clean. Mirror closet doors were broken & mirrors were cracked. One bar of soap. Had to ask for hairdryer - wall attachment had no hairdryer. Breakfast was terrible - biscuits/grits, cereal, waffles. Looks like more was there earlier but stuff was not refilled & we were there within first hour. No bread, no toast. Carpet was filthy. Pool was closed & grimy. I’m not very picky but this was particularly bad.

If you like bugs, dirty rooms, soiled “clean” towels, stained and torn linen, cold showers, zero Wi-Fi, nonfunctional TV. This is the Hotel for you. Of course I can’t forget the 45 minute check in because the hotel “ lost” my reservation. We stayed from Friday to Monday. With in that span we had to change rooms 3 times due to cleanliness and no hot water. The front desk lady was in our room at least twice a night trying to “solve” issues. Oh and Don’t forget to bring your flash light because the 4 to 5 lamps in the rooms are just for show. And if you didn’t make it to the liquor store on time it’s okay because there’s a wide selection of open beers around the entryway. I should probably end this review on a nice note… the staff was nice.

The room had a weird smell to it. Dogs were in hallway without being leashed. Probably my fault for not checking that this was a dog friendly hotel. The staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast bar was okay.
