City of Rocks RV

We came to the City of Rocks to shoot the Milky Way as the location in the sky was perfect at this time of year. What we didn't know is that June is National Rock Climbing ‍ month. Soooooo there were zero spots available inside the park itself. After driving around for at least an hour and a half, we pulled into the RV Park to inquire about a spot and found they have 3 tent sites available! Score!! The location is just outside of the National Reserve and very new. They have running water spigots and a fire pit at each tent site and RV site. There are also 3 very nice and clean outhouses, with solar lights when you go at night. The scenery is just gorgeous! They also offer wood bundles for sale, in case you didn't bring enough. Great place to stay with the kids and dog. Clean toilets and friendly environment. Camp host is great! Gives you a printout of what is nearby and what to expect. Site is really close to the scenic city of rocks parks. Would definitely tell friends and stay again!

Very nice RV park that is also tent friendly. Plenty of amenities with water and power at each spot. Bathrooms were super clean and maintained. We actually ended up here by mistake but liked it so much we cancelled our other reservation to stay here. Close to City of Rocks and out of all the overcrowded campsites in the national park. Will stay again.

We don't usually care for "RV Parks" as our little trailer does just fine without all the services. We arrived at the City of Rocks area on a late-May Saturday evening with no public campsites available, so with some hesitation we pulled into this little RV park, but we soon found out we'd made a great choice for a place to camp! Sites with water and electric are plentiful, and Ross (the owner) is super friendly and gave us a little "fact sheet" he created with tips on the best places to hike, visit, eat, etc. The high desert feel of this place was perfect for an evening campfire under the stars. We slept well and enjoyed our brief stay.

Ross is a great host. Park is clean, close to town and state park. Pull through sites, except if an RV is already in the other side, it would be back in. We'd go back!
