City Express by Marriott Yulee

Hotel is clean and updated. Walter at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our stay!

Positive: the front desk clerk and walter they were excellent very helpfull and friendly Negative: have stayed there before and one of the reasons we choose this hotel this time is because of the breakfast, last time we stayed they had biscuits and gravy which was good, but this time there was no gravy and was told they dont do that anymore

The front desk person was amazing. I didn’t have my charger and she loaned me hers. That’s pretty amazing !

Apparently, this was Comfort Inn till very recently. Marriott refurbished and repainted it right over the dust and rust, hung branding attributes, and slammed a badly connected front desk computer equipment. The location is good, and the staff, although sparse, is trying hard, but it's not a Marriott yet, by a long shot. It was nicely decorated for Christmas, and there were literally just five or so rooms occupied on the night we stayed, but the whole experience, from the check-in through the check-out, was weird and uncomfortable. Let's hope the place will integrate into the brand better with time, but then, with more people staying, the badly designed common area will become cramped for check-in and breakfast.

While this hotel was purchased and nicely renovated, They only clean you room every three days. We had to empty our own trash and go to front desk for towels. This should be explained upon check in, not a surprise after your first night. Also, " NO PETS SIGN at front desk, they do allow pets ( I have dog/cat allergies so this is a problem for me as many pet owners also allow their pets to sleep in bed with them.) We were woken up a little before 7am our first day from the dog next door barking. We won't stay again. Go across the street to Holiday Inn Express and see what that is like when we return to the area.
