City Express by Marriott Orlando International Drive

Unfortunately I never got a survey from Marriott. I wanted to share my experience. I stayed here recently with my girlfriend. Everything was clean and modern. The hotel is great for a quick trip in Orlando. The only small gripes I had was the the TV did not work well with my firestick. The TV seems out of date which still had the red yellow white ports. The AC had a small moment that sounded like a rumbling dying car engine in the morning. The gym could definitely have better equipment and better machines instead of just one single all in one fully body machine that has no handles for the attachmehte. Where I had to use a towel to make my own handle. And one staff member said there was a late check-in fee, despite already paying for the full day to secure the room for my late arrival. Tha

Horrible experience. This hotel is under renovations and nothing was mentioned about this when booked. The phone in my room doesn’t work and I let them know at 3:00 pm. Went back to the desk at 8:30 pm for pillows because they are the worst pillows and told them my phone still does not work. I was told maintenance is gone already I said I told you at 3 he said they were gone already. Pillows he said he will take care of tomorrow as well because housekeeping is gone as well. Horrible customer service. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Positive: "" Negative: The breakfast was the worst in several decades. There was no meat, no fruit, no pastries and no waffle maker. There was only bread,bagels and some egg crap.

This is only a 3 star review if u r NOT a frequent Marriott enthusiast… otherwise I would have put down 5 stars. The staff is very nice the rooms were clean. The hotel has no resort fees, free parking, and a very small free breakfast. Now, if u usually stay at nicer properties, u will be disappointed… I would say it’s a step down from a Fairfield Inn. We stay there frequently… as u r reading this don’t think that we r Ritz Carlton people bc I never want to afford that hotel!!! If u r looking for a soft bed… dont stay here. This is the firmest mattress I have ever slept on… on the other hand if u love a hard bed… this is the place for u. The hotel was recently taken over and went under some renovations. Fantastic budget hotel! Rooms recently refurbished (I think the hotel had been a Comfort Suites) and very clean. They aren't fancy at all, as this is a budget tier Marriott hotel, but they were nicer than some moderate tier hotels I've stayed. The free breakfast was limited but what they had was fresh and tasted good. The breakfast area has an automated espresso machine that makes lattes, hot chocolate, etc. Highly recommend!
