We had our family reunion here and had a blast. We booked 5 rv spots face the water and all 4 cabins. Lots of space for kids to run and for our 30 + group to spread out. Staff were extremely helpful and always willing to assist. Had an issue with bathrooms and staff quickly took care of it after I notified. Spiders were prominent and while they were harmless they were a bit of a nuisance having to clear off rvs. Staff did address them when notified. Highly recommend this place.
We are here in the spring and have the whole place to ourselves, which is wonderful. There are over fifty sites plus four cute little cabins to rent. There is one long paved road with pullthroughs on each side. There are water, sewer, and electric hookups. There are lots of deciduous trees by the RV sites, which are probably great in the middle of summer. There is a lot of grass and a playground for children. There's a great big beach, but after reading about water quality in the summer here, especially when the water heats up, I would not choose to swim. Although kayaking or boating would be great. There is a trail that goes around the whole island that is a couple of miles. We enjoyed a sunset walk and pondered why there are not some sites on the other side of the island that have nice
It's wonderful if there wasn't bees and potholes galore. 4 of us got stung at least once and we couldn't even enjoy meals because of them. And one of my twins hurt his leg falling into a waist deep pot hole with not cone or warning or anything. The swimming area however was a lot of fun and fruit trees everywhere
This is a great campground for glamping and kids. There's a large, mostly shallow swimming area, a playground, flush toilets, and showers.
Stayed here last week and it was very convenient and clean campground. Lots of noises at night but I will get to that in a minute, I was on a motorcycle with a tent so I was looking to have a basic tent site but there were plenty of bigger sites available. I stayed in upper look where the cabins are #46? and it made a great spot to camp. Facilities are clean and plentiful. A wonderful back eddy with swimming and water sports are nice here. Had plenty of cell service and enjoyed the quaint environment. I was here in August and the coyotes were very active and noise all night in the field area between the campgrounds and river, and dogs barking in return so it was very hard to get a good nights rest. I also had a visit from a skunk trying to get into my stuff I had around the camp table. I
