Cherohala Mountain Trails Campground

Easily the best campground I’ve stayed at on my bike. Plenty open space, well maintained grass, flat, and picnic tables. Then there’s the community fire pit and community awning thing. Met some cool people also camping there and then we all sat around the large community fire pit. Then there’s free coffee and light pastries in the morning. Not to mention the super clean 4 bathrooms, each with a shower. This will be my place of choice anytime I’m in this area.

We absolutely loved staying here with our camper. The property was nice, Kellie & Wayne were wonderful hosts (Wayne checked on us periodically asking if we needed firewood - your first bag is free and subsequent bags are $5) and the bathrooms were close by. The pavilion is really nice (we loved the motorcycle fixture and pipes as light fixtures). We didn't use the community firepit as each spot has its own. The water connection wasn't hooked up but there was a community water supply close by (don't let this keep you from staying). As other reviews state, the WiFi is best close to the main cabin and our extender worked the first couple of nights then our TV wasn't working properly. This was a minor inconvenience but overall, we LOVED our stay here and will definitely be back! I will

Quiet, peacfull, and a great value. The grounds are clean and inviting. The amenities are better than expectations. The restrooms and showers are clean and breakfast is very enjoyable. I came here for a place to set up a tent and my expectations were well exceeded by what was offered for my tent fee. I will come here again any chance I get.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The Pavilion is perfect lots of seating, even has firewood there for you! The owners could not be any nicer, what great people! Thank you guys and I will 100% be back!!!

I've been coming here for years and it's always fantastic. The campsite opportunities are abundant and the hammock stands provide great flexibility for hammock campers. Showers/restrooms are clean and there's plenty of them. Breakfast is always hot and the conversation is good. I've always left with new friends after a night under the gazebo, too. Thank you to Wayne and his wife for keeping this place going!
