Center Street Value Inn

Absolutely do not recommend. Upon arrival at the Center Street Value Inn in Auburn, ME, we saw someone digging through the dumpster who looked like they were on drugs. The entrance had a taped-up plastic "open" sign and a strong bleach smell, with a pest control notice posted immediately inside. The front desk was shielded by a piece of plexiglass with a handwritten sign saying “back in 5 minutes—call this number.” We called and waited until someone eventually came out to check us in—at the same time a police officer showed up to speak with the clerk, which didn’t help the sketchy first impression. Positive: Nothing at all the room was freezing cold the heat wouldn't work and the staff was extremely rude and prejudice against white people Negative: I did not like anything about it I felt like I was completely disrespected and talk to you and treated disgustingly because of my color

I very much love this inn , for it's simple yet efficient rooms that are clean, cozy, hot showers, comfortable beds.. convenient location..but the GM, front desk staff, and housekeeping are amazing! Jay not only helped me get great room at great rates.. but also was always able to assist me whether morning noon or night. And fix so with a smile and good nature.

Everything has just been remodeled, The rooms are beautiful, nice new flooring and bed are comfortable. Clean, NO BUGS! The staff all very friendly and accommodating! Will be staying here again when passing this way on vacation or business!

Don’t stay here! The recently “remodeled” room was dirty and poorly maintained. The rest of the hotel was literally under construction at the time of our stay. The room walls had stains smeared on them, exposed pipes and wires; The bathroom was a disaster. There was a hole in one of the walls that someone had shoved toilet paper in. The lighting was bright white LED and abysmal. ***Don’t be fooled by the advertisement of a recent remodel***. The “remodeled” room we stayed in looked half-done with chipped floors, messy caulk jobs, duct tape residue on furniture that had been moved and a really odd drop-ceiling…Something I’ve never seen in any hotel I’ve stayed in previous to this one.
