Catalpa Plantation House

My favorite tour so far of all the plantation houses. She only does tours for this American river tours. The house is sealed with beautiful items and the tour has 100 different stories to go along with them. The hostess and owner Mary is the most beautiful southern bell we’ve met.

The owner, Mary, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, providing insights into the plantation's history and its significance. The tour was both educational and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to take in the architecture, lush landscapes, and serene atmosphere. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

The lady that lives there, Mary, helps conduct the tour and shares her family history. Lovely and very interesting lady. Highly recommend stopping by.

The owner was an exceptional hostess. Her telling of the history of her family and the inter connection between Catalpa and Rosedown Plantation was mesmerizing. I highly recommend a visit to her home, a journey worth taking. Also the glass of sherry on the front porch with her was a great way to end a great experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Catalpa Plantation House. The lady owns and lives on the property and gave us a historic view of the history of the area begining in the 1790's to the present date. Very, very interesting! Explained much of what happened and the way of life through the years!
