The front desk clerk, Dan, is absolutely AMAZING! He is attentive, sensitive to guests needs, helpful, generous, hardworking, thoughtful, friendly and all around an excellent employee. He should be promoted. The location is fantastic; just a short walk across the street to the drive-on pier and wharf. The scenery is beautiful, filled w mountains, nature and gardens everywhere. The rooms are a bit small, but doable. There is wine and cheese hour, a fireplace to warm up to and coffee in the Cafe, breakfast served in lobby w a mixture of morning drinks to get juices flowing and it's a short walk the popular State St. Stop by if ever in Santa Barbara : )

We loved the location and the mature gardens on the grounds. The quality of the rooms was lacking—clean, but inexpensive furniture coupled with less-than-charming decor and stark white (very thin) walls made for a place where we did not want to spend much time. Franzia and pre-cubed cheese in the evenings, and breakfast involved heated pastries and Chobani yogurt. The service was fine, except we were not instructed on how to navigate the parking situation upon arrival. There are 3 visible parking spots, one of which is ADA-compliant. I had to speak with another staff member the next morning to figure out how to park for extended periods in the “90-minute only” zone around the hotel. The secret: you will be provided a permit for each weekend day.

This is a wonderful place. We've been going there 3-4 times a year for many years. It is incredibly friendly with an excellent staff supervised by Chris. We always take our two large dogs, who view it as a second home. It's very clean, good value, and has a great atmosphere with little noise. The staff goes out of their way to make recommendations for restaurants, dog sitters, and anything else you might need. And it's a block from the beach and a few blocks away from State Street.

Casa Del Mar Inn is such a great place to stay in Santa Barbara! You can’t beat the location — it’s an easy walk to both State Street and the beach. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We showed up really early and couldn’t check in yet, but they happily held our bags and even brought them to our room once it was ready while we went out to explore. The breakfast is simple but tasty, and I love that they use coffee from a local company. The rooms are a little dated, but honestly that just adds to the Santa Barbara charm — they’re clean, comfy, and have everything you need. The price was much better than other hotels in the area, and everything about our stay was awesome. Highly recommend staying here!
