Carolina Lodge

Needed a place to stop for the night mid-drive from SC to FL. This was a wonderful place for that! Great pricing, the bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean. I was impressed to have a nice sized fridge and a microwave available, commodities that a lot of large expensive hotels don't even have. The bathroom was a little dirty and I wished there was a place to plug my phone in to charge by the nightstand, but for the price paid this place was a great value! Will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

All hotels in Savannah, GA were full so we headed further north. Our first stop, Travelodge in Ridgeland was full also so we drove across the street to Carolina Lodge. It was close to midnight and we'd already been on the road 10 hours so we were desperate. I don't mind 'old' hotels but I do expect them to be clean. I found a roach in the bedding so we slept on the other bed after I examined it. I wouldn't||have showered there but couldn't get the roaches off my mind. The towels and wash clothes were stained. I mean laundered but stained. It just looks unsanitary so we used our own towels. My husband killed another roach on the sink. The room was $50 a night so very cheap, the manager was pleasant but that doesn't make up for filth. A sign on the wall in the office states, "No refund afte

My first look at this place seemed to indicate it was tired and pretty old. But I was tired and decided that I'd spend the night. Everyone was very friendly but the real surprise came when I went into the room. It was so clean that it almost sparkled and on the beds (I had a double) there were the whitest and fluffiest towels I've ever experienced - there was also a bottle of water on each bed. Had I been swayed by the look on the outside, I never would have stayed there but would have missed a really comfortable and clean place.

Quick easy check in. Low prices. Way cleaner than i expected for the price and location. I actually checked out(room was in my fiances name) then we went to eat and decided to stay in town another night. I got the room that time, they gave us the same room. Once we got in it, it had been cleaned, sheets changes... we know for sure because they were a whole new color, all in all of your looking for a inexpensive place to rest your head, thats not disgusting. .. you've found it

This place is really bad!!! The sheets didn't even fit on the nasty looking beds! The bathroom was SO disgusting and dirty! There was a wash cloth hanging over the shower rod that was crispy crunchy from having hung there for SO long! No way I felt ok about showering there!!! Was evacuating due to a hurricane and had to get off the road for the night. YUCK!!! And charged WAY TO MUCH to be such a dump!!!
