Carbo House

Loved my stay here! My favorite was the ocean breeze across the porches! This is a very old antiquated house but it offers free WiFi. The Mermaid Gift Shop is a must-see! All the tenants are very friendly & helpful. Each room is unique. Heather manages the place like a Champ! She goes Above & Beyond to help anyone the best that she can. Great location to the beach & the main drag & the Pier. Best experience I have ever had on Tybee Island!

Very tiny rooms but they are perfect for solo or a couple. The location is very close to the pier but has the drawbacks of being very loud due to the bar patio next door. I was very pleased with how clean and comfortable it was but that changed when I saw roaches. It's an old building and there are people who live there. It is what it is. I would only stay here again in a pinch.

The property wasn’t ready for rent. My parents came for a vacation and noticed that electric stove didn’t work. Water was dripping from the ceiling. We contacted property manager to get an electric stove fixed and they did fix it… after 4 days of actively working in this listing. So when we were paying for full vacation experience, the workers were always around and in property. What kind of vacation is that? Why my parents had to spend their time in a room explaining what is broken? So be prepared that you’ll spend your vacation not on the beach, but in this property waiting for a handyman. And we didn’t even got any discount! Nothing! We paid the full price while 4 out of 7 booked days the workers were in the property fixing an electric stove!

The location is great. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The room in the other hand was the exact opposite. There was a cheap Walmart futon for the bed with a thin mattress. When I lay down on the bed I could feel the slats in my back and the bed would lift up on one side when I sat on the other. The room had the big water roaches as well as the small roaches. It was damp and musty in the room the entirety of our stay. My wife and I went out for lunch on Saturday and when we got back the "maintenance man" had filled a small hole in the ceiling above the shower and the bed. Not only did it put wood shavings all over the shower floor and our clothes hanging on the hooks, it made us very uncomfortable knowing that some creepy "maintenance man" was out there somewhere trying to record

The location was amazing right by the beach and beautiful the room was clean and looks just like the pictures minus the pipes you see on the ceiling. The reason I didnt give them 5 stars It's a old building however and the age does show the floors have a lean to them .it is perfect for 2 people no more then that though.
