Our 4th Anniversary trip and we’re still loving it! We stayed in the Atlantic and it was so comfy. Rick, the Innkeeper, made the best waffle I’ve ever had, along with a great full breakfast each day. The crackers, cheese and wine in the evening was a great snack, along with chocolate chip cookies. Rick knows how to make you feel at home and has great stories about his home in Scotland. Wonderful B&B!
This was my first bed and breakfast experience. I loved the proximity of the b&b near the beach and how I could look out and see part of it. But what really stood out was Rick, the innkeeper. He was so incredibly kind and you can see how passionate he is about his job. I had to run out early and miss the 8:30 breakfast, but he ensured I was taken care of. He apologized I would miss breakfast and offered me some bacon to go as well as coffee. We were chatting but as I still had some time, he ended up slowly feeding me. I was so excited I didn’t have to miss breakfast! Was sad to miss eating with the other guests and his historical stories, but he was able to give me tidbits as we chatted. He was so personable and went above and beyond. His waffles were the best waffles I’ve EVER had and he
Positive: The fact that it is located centrally on the island and that it is on the beach Negative: The room we had was right next to the elevator, the air conditioning in the room was poor. It was either warm in the room or blowing ice cold air. Noisy! They have occupant sensors the room so if you are not moving around the air conditioning would go off
We happened upon this quaint and charming historic B&B. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with it's private balcony with a view and breeze from the beautiful and walkable ocean beach just steps away! We enjoyed complimentary wine and cheese on the deck, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and retired to a cozy comfy king sized bed! Clean and quiet, our room was large with an ensuite that included a lovely clawfoot tub. At breakfast we were charmed by the innkeeper Rick who served us a lovely hot breakfast while telling us tales of the island and his home in Scotland. Dressed in his native Kilt, he met each of our needs and was as kind as could be! The location is grand, walkable to great restaurants (you must try Sundae Cafe). The property has quite the history! You will enjoy it all.
I stayed at the Terrace, second floor. The place was so spacious with three beds, living room, large dining room, two full baths and a full kitchen. The porch was perfect to sit out back and drink coffee and watch the sun rise. When I stayed in December it was so quiet and peaceful all around on Tybee Island. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
