Admiral's Inn on Tybee Island

The hotel is older but it was clean. Beach hotels are usually hit or miss and this one was really clean. Everyone was really friendly and you have free onsite parking. The beach is actors the street basically. I was able to check in early and check out was simple. There wasn’t any extra fees which I appreciated. You can hear everything that goes on in the hallway and the hotel can use a little more proactive tlc. Example would be just touching up the paint in high traffic areas. Otherwise I would stay again

The beds were comfortable. Slept well. For being newly remodeled, it is already showing major wear. We moved to 3 rooms. First one was 2nd floor and no elevator. We just had a lot of stuff and needed a rolling cart. Second room had a broken safe. Third room was fine. Pool was heated and very swimable. The string lights had 10 burnt out bulbs on a string of 20. The cushions were already flat and needed replaced. Whomever remodeled this hotel did it very cheaply and it shows. The sitting chairs in the rooms all had the left arm worn off...all three rooms. No breakfast served. Did have free water to refill your water bottles and extra coffee in the lobby.

Positive: The room was updated and VERY clean which is so important when staying at the beach. Negative: They need a few handyman fixes - the faucet on the sink was very loose and the toilet paper holder was missing. Neither caused a problem. Otherwise, everything was super clean and modern.

We stayed in late September, so it was the off season. Overall, we had a nice quiet stay. The pool was never busy, so it was easy to have it mostly to ourselves when we wanted to. The rooms are nice, and we enjoyed the rainfall shower! All of the staff we met were all super nice. Before we got there, I called a few weeks in advance and got our stay extended by 1 day, and there was no fuss, no switching rooms or anything. There is an ice machine and a water bottle filling station in the lobby, so I kept our water bottle full every day. The hotel is perfect walking distance to pretty much everything you could want or need: the beach, the IGA grocery store, and a good chunk of the restaurants and bars on the island. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and we'd definitely come back!

We love Tybee Island and Admiral's Inn is lovely! The rooms are fantastic and exceptionally clean. All of the staff is so nice and a special shout out to Cecilia who went above and beyond for us! The location is very convenient to get to the beach and shops.
