Capital O Sunset Waves Hotel Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

Stayed the weekend of Jan 9-11. Nothing like the photos online and did not have the room type that I reserved. It has been 4 days and I have still yet to get my deposit back on my credit card. Worst experience so far with any hotel. Update: still no deposit return. I contacted customer service received an email. I gave them the info for my booking and they have never responded. I will now be taking next steps with my credit card company.

Positive: I like the big windows. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: Weird that there is not at least one trash can inside hotel room. Also did not like the elevator setup particularly, but it’s easy to adjust to. Definitely didn’t like the $100 deposit being mailed back to me because I had cash.

Positive: Cleanliness Negative: 1. Front Desk Phone out of order.2. Was told I’d have to pay an additional fee.3. Elevator was out/3rd floor/Handicap 4. No wifi Service5. Had to use front desk cell # for communication 6. No remote, once I got it tv never worked7. No flush toilet

For the price of $32 a night I really don't want to say anything negative because the price was great and I had very low expectations, however it took me calling front desk many times, which never answered to ask where the hotel even was, 1 hr of both driving around In circles trying to find it and not finding any places with this hotel name I gave up by car and parked at a nearby Walmart and than walked in circles an hour trying to find it. finally I found the dolphin statue pool that was shown in a review, went to that building a sign said that a building called sand castle is the new guest check in location still not seeing anything with the hotel name "Capital o sunset waves hotel" here on Google and on booking info- went to that building 2 parking lots were closed off in front it so

No Hot Water(This has been a long term issue), No Soap, No towels, and No WiFi..So the smart TV doesn't work. No iron in the room, No Bible in the nightstand. The only thing that worked was the heater....Too well 🥵 It was difficult to find it to check in and couldn't find anyone to check out. Won't Be Back. Don't waste your time! Find another motel..This is a motel not a hotel .5 or of 5 stars
