Capital Inn & Suites

Stayed here for one night on a road trip throughout Upstate NY. I don't think some of the pictures of the property are relevant as they are not part of the hotel as it is. There has been work done on the outside on part of the property. We stayed on the second floor of the building out back. The hallway had a strong odor. It was not pleasant but once we were in the room it wasn't as bad. The condition of the room itself was okay, but there needs to be quality control regarding cleanliness. There were stains on the walls, and there was a place in the drywall where the tub had been accessed. The rest of the room itself was okay. This place is GROSS!!!!|I booked a King bed/NON SMOKING room. Checking in was a breeze, the guy was very friendly and helpful. Went to my room, and I immediately noticed a stench of nasty stale smoke.. gross! So much for a non smoking room!! The room itself was nasty... dirty, dusty and not clean at all. Stains on the walls. The bed had a metal frame, which every time you moved, it made a noise. The bottom of the tub had packed in dirt... as in, they don't scrub/clean the tub. Blinds and curtains broken. Sadly, they were completely booked, so why ask to be moved. When I checked out, there was a different person working. I asked to speak to a manager... apparently there is no manager, I was told " they just work there, no manager works here". That tells me alot, no one seems to care about c

Stayed here for a couple days a few times and had no issues. The room was always clean and the price is affordable. Great place for someone looking for something economical.

One of the capital regions best value deals. Spacious, clean room with extremely comfortable firm king size bed and comfortable couch. Large screen TV with convenient frig/freezer & microwave. Plenty of natural light by day thru the large windows & very comfortable air conditioner. Plenty of clothes storage areas between dresser & wardrobe plus there is a large desk & coffee table. The shower just feels so good it is theraputic. Great super convenient location & entire parking lot looks totally brand new/well lit at night.

Needed somewhere to stay to break up a long car journey so had a room booked here. What an absolute dump. The first that hits you is the smell of the rooms, think stale tobacco and then add in the aroma of damp mold, well this place is worse than that. The room I was given had 3 double beds and a mix match of other ancient furniture. Maybe all the beds were to cover the filthy and stained carpets. Should have taken photos but decided to get straight back into car and find somewhere else. I would say be careful of all the fake reviews from “people” that have only done 1 review.
