Canyon of the Eagles

Pros: location is great, nice trails and observatory tour was great as well. Cons: Price /quality: there better options in the area. Sanitary maintenance: excessive scale build up on toilette which immediately gives the sensation of poor hygiene, hot water supply not enough for 3 people. $16 breakfast for basic eggs and tortilla seemed excessive and we were surprised and bothered to be charged $1.00 for each apple taken from a bowl in the breakfast area. While the amount is minor, the principle is unacceptable, as basic fruit items are not charged at quality resorts. On top of that, I was asked to give feedback by email, which I did and didn’t get a response.

My wife and I experience a relaxing get-a-way during our recent two night stay. The room while small was perfect for two, was clean and had a great view of the lake. Staff was friendly and the food good and reasonably priced. Be sure to book the observatory during your stay. Jim was an excellent guide to the heavens. Good hiking trails too. Go while the lake is full and the Eagles are coming in to next for the winter.

This place is very nice! It's relaxing & far out of the hustle & bustle of life. GREAT OBSERVATORY!! I had been wanting to come here for years & the time just worked out this year for my sister & I to go alone. The check in/out desk personnel are very friendly & so were the people working in the restaurant. The bar left something to be desired & it had a lot of cobwebs that were eye-level & below so very obvious & could've been cleaned by the bartender doing nothing. The location itself is so nice & well taken care of. The beds were not comfortable to us so plan accordingly if you have back problems & this was our only negative during our trip. We chose the location that had the porch & deck chairs & overlooked the lake. It was so nice & calm. The 2nd night we were the only people in our 4

Canyon of the Eagles was our wedding venue this past weekend on 11/15. From the moment we arrived, we felt so extremely well cared for and the entire staff was overly accommodating and made sure we had what we needed the entire time. These wonderful people did their best to provide for us, even on things outside of their promised scope- they went above and beyond! Our wedding could not have occurred in a more peaceful and beautiful location and that day is a day I will cherish for the rest of my life. Angeleigh B. helped get this whole thing together and made the booking and planning process seamless. Shelby C. did an absolute stand up job of pulling our big day off and the staff that helped made me feel like the most important person on earth on such a big day. Jackie especially, she help

This campground was a spiders playhouse; in our room, covering the porch, above the room door, everywhere. Great location and fine amenities, but the lack of a general sweep of all the webs and spiders in our private room, bathroom and porch area made the experience less than desirable. Dining at the restaurant is made almost mandatory by the lack of supplies in your room to have your own meals. Cannot recommend.
