Canyon Creek

A nice place to pitch a tent the first night if you show up to Sol Duc trailhead in the mid/late afternoon to backpack the 7 lakes basin. Beware, canyon creek campsite #2 is much further up the trail than #1. Primitive campsites, no latrine, just a creek to fetch water. Everything can be quite wet; no wonder campfires are technically allowed down here, as of this writing. The creek looks and sounds pretty.

These are two awesome wilderness campsites on the way to Deer Lake in the Sol Duc valley. In the trees, nice flat fir needle beds to set your tent at!
