Camp Russian River

We booked this campsite out for our wedding, and it was the best wedding we could have asked for. Between the beautiful ceremony venue in the redwood grove, the convenient kitchen/dining area, and the large field we used for games and campfires, this was everything and more. And on top of that, Mike was super kind to us, providing us with ice, watering the paths so the dirt wouldn't be kicked up, and lighting multiple fires when the time was right. Thanks for the wonderful place and good times!

I'm a bit new to camping and so my boyfriend, Chris, took me here for more of a middle between glamping experience. It was so nice! Easy access to any restrooms and clean showers. Amazing access to the Russian river. Everything was organized and the site felt like I was right in the middle of the forest. Loved the spot, will definitely go again.

I've never been treated so badly by anybody, the elderly man who works there should not be deadly with the public. We had booked this campsite over 6 months in advance. We had a back and forth email conversation in which we asked what time check-in closed and were told that we could check in any time because the owners lived onsite. Had emailed a few days before arrival to confirm we were still coming. So after flying from Europe for 12hrs and 4 hours driving we arrived at 10.30. nobody at reception so we rang the bell only to experience the most unwelcome interaction. After telling us he hadn't us booked in we tried to show him the emails we had and were told he didn't care what we had. Camp Russian River is a beautiful, family-friendly campground located right next to the water in a layed-back setting. The management is welcoming, creating a well-run and accommodating atmosphere for guests. PROS: * The staff is consistently nice and helpful. * It is a family-friendly environment with space for kids. * Personal BBQs and campfires are permitted at the sites. * The location next to the river is beautiful. CONS: * The restroom facilities are basic and not luxurious. * There is no sewer or dump station available for RVs.

Amazing experience!! We usually go to another spot as it was tradition. Prices at other location were about $15 more a night decided to look around and find this spot. Super friendly staff! Prices for firewood and ice are reasonable as well definitely cheaper than safeway! Not to mention its practically a 5-10 minute walk to town. Will definitely be coming back to this location moving forward! Thank you again for hosting our families annual vacation!
