Camp Prendergast

My wife and I were in town two weekends in a row to see the Laufay and Brandy Clark concerts. It was an easy, 3 mile bike ride between the campground and the Chataqua Ampitheater which allowed us to save money and a headache parking there (you can get into the grounds for free after 4pm w your concert ticket). Michelle was a lovely host, and we were able to store our camper across the road for a minimal price so we didn't have to pull it back and forth from home. We will be back!

I am 51 years old, I suppose I was at least one year old or younger when my parents took me camping. I would say just about every year in my life I’ve gone camping. Tent, Pop up campers and travel trailers and cabins. My kids are now 18 and 20. My parents are 75 and 83. ||This is without a doubt one of the best, or maybe the best camp site ever. I always saw the owner daily, caring for this camp ground. It was quiet at night. Most sites seemed seasonal, but there were plenty short visitors too. Clean pool, clean bath house, clean grounds. My kids enjoyed biking, fishing and sight seeing, as well as my parents could go out on their own and do sight seeing also. there is a creek at the park for fishing too. I noticed that ALL the children there were well behaved and were happy Adults around

Camp Prendergast is the best! My family and I stayed here for a month and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Beautiful campground, super friendly tight-knit community. Fantastic for children, feels very safe, spots are roomy. Lovely pool, fun little creek runs along the back side- perfect for little ones. Nice playground, very family oriented, and all the facilities are well-maintained. You can tell the owners genuinely care about their guests and property (awesome folks). The speed limit is strictly enforced- which I LOVE because I have 4 small children. Honestly, I was hesitant to leave this review because I feel like it’s such a perfect little slice of paradise and I don’t want the wrong people coming and ruining it LOL. We will definitely be back!!

We had a cabin for two nights and enjoyed every minute! The cabin itself was clean, affordable and had a fridge and microwave. The community bathroom/showers were also very clean and the camp owners and summer residents were friendly and respectful of our privacy. We did not use the pool, but it appeared to be well kept, as did the overall campground. A very short drive to Chataqua Institute and Panama Rocks Park. We would definitely stay here again!

Great two night stay. Clean, quite and great sight seeing near the Chautauqua Institution. Had a wonderful walk along the bike trail into town near Chautauqua Lake. Friendly owners and residents. Very helpful lending advice of surrounding attractions worth visiting.
